How buying works on MinerCompare
Every miner page has a Where to Buy block. This is what happens between opening that page and a machine arriving at your door.
Find the miner first, not the shop
Start on the ASIC list or the search bar and open the page of the exact model you want. Every miner page shows live profit at your electricity rate above the offers, so you judge the machine before you judge the price.
Scroll to the Where to Buy block
Below the profitability analysis, every offer for that model is listed in one table, cheapest delivered price first. The Shop button in the hero jumps straight there, and the cheapest price and price per hashrate are summarised next to the miner image.
Compare delivered prices, not sticker prices
Each row shows the miner price, the shipping cost or free shipping, the condition, the delivery time, whether a PSU is included and the warranty. Sorting is by price plus shipping, because that is what you actually pay.
Check the vendor before the price
Click the vendor name to open their profile: the Verified Vendor badge, their country, every other miner they list and the reviews miners have left for them. A cheap offer from a vendor with no history is not a cheap offer.
Open the offer on the vendor's site
The Buy button takes you to the vendor's own shop, where the order, payment and shipping happen. MinerCompare never handles the money; we list, you compare, the vendor sells.
Come back and leave a review
Once the miner is running, review both the machine and the vendor on MinerCompare. Reviews are the only signal that cannot be bought, and they are what keeps the next buyer from repeating your mistakes.
What every offer tells you
One row in the offers table carries everything you need to compare two vendors selling the same machine. Here is what each field means and why it is there.
Price and shipping
Listed in USD, shipping shown separately or marked as free. Offers are sorted by the delivered total, and the cheapest one is highlighted with its price per hashrate.
Price per hashrate
The delivered price divided by the miner's hashrate, in the miner's own unit. This is the only number that makes a 200 TH/s machine and a 300 TH/s machine comparable.
Delivery time
The vendor's stated delivery time in days. In a rising market a machine that arrives three weeks later has already lost three weeks of mining, so a slightly dearer in-stock unit can be the better deal.
Condition
New or used. A used listing should come with the remaining warranty, the runtime and a hashboard test; if the vendor cannot tell you those three things, price it as an untested unit.
PSU included
Whether the power supply is in the box. A missing PSU adds real money and a delay, and a mismatched third-party PSU is the most common cause of a miner that hashes below its rating.
Warranty
The warranty period in months, or none. Manufacturer warranty on new units is typically six to twelve months; on used units it is whatever the vendor offers, which is often nothing.
Payback per offer
Each offer shows its own estimated payback in days: that offer's delivered price divided by the miner's daily profit at your electricity rate. Two offers for the same machine give two different payback times, which is the whole point of comparing them.
Block chance for solo miners
A solo lottery miner has no payback period, so its offers show the daily chance of hitting a block instead. You are buying a permanent ticket in every block draw, not a machine with a return date.
Six things to check on any ASIC purchase
Most bad purchases are not scams. They are machines that cost more to run than expected, cannot be powered where they were meant to go, or turned out to be far louder than the buyer imagined.
The delivered total, including your duties
Price plus shipping is what the vendor charges. Import duty and VAT are what your country charges on top, and on a several-thousand-dollar machine they can be a quarter of the price. Find out before you order, not when the courier calls.
Efficiency, not just hashrate
Joules per terahash decides how much of the machine's income your electricity bill eats. A cheaper, less efficient miner is the more expensive one at any realistic power price, and the miner page shows the efficiency next to the hashrate for exactly this reason.
Power, voltage and the socket it will plug into
Production miners draw 3 to 6 kW and most need 200–240 V. Check the specification block on the miner page against what your circuit can deliver; a machine you cannot power is worth nothing regardless of price.
Noise and where it will live
Air-cooled production ASICs run at 75 dB and above, which is not a room you can work in. Hydro and immersion models are quiet but need infrastructure. The noise level is in the specifications; believe it.
Firmware, warranty and support
Ask whether the unit ships with stock firmware or a third-party one, what the warranty covers, and who you call when a hashboard dies. A vendor who answers those three questions clearly is worth a few percent more.
Payment method and buyer protection
Cards and escrow can be reversed, crypto cannot. For a first order with a vendor you do not know, pay with the method you can claw back, even if it costs a little more.
What a trustworthy vendor looks like
Start with the Verified Vendor badge, which means the business has been vetted by us, but do not stop there. Open the vendor profile and read the reviews miners have left: a vendor with dozens of reviews over a long period, including a few critical ones that were answered, is safer than one with five perfect reviews from last month.
Look at the whole catalogue, not just the one offer. A vendor listing many models with consistent pricing, clear shipping terms and a real company address in their country is running a business; one with a single unusually cheap listing is running a test on you. Prefer vendors that ship from your own region, because returns, warranty claims and customs are all simpler when the machine does not cross an ocean.
Finally, contact them before you order. A vendor that answers a technical question about PSU, firmware or warranty within a day, in detail, is the vendor you want when a hashboard fails in month four.
Walk away when you see these
- A price far below every other vendor for the same model, especially on a new unit — the market is competitive and real bargains are small.
- Crypto-only payment from a vendor with no verified badge, no reviews and no physical address.
- Stock photos only, no serial numbers, and no willingness to show a test video of the exact unit you are buying.
- Pressure to complete the order quickly, or to move the conversation off the vendor's own site.
- A used miner with no stated runtime, no hashboard test and no return policy.
- Delivery times that keep moving after payment, or a vendor that stops answering once the money has been sent.
The first hour decides the warranty claim
Film the unboxing, photograph the serial number and the packaging, and power the miner up on a pool the same day so you have a dated hashrate record. If a hashboard is dead on arrival, that evidence is what turns a dispute into a replacement, and every vendor worth buying from will ask for it.
